Basketball Greats: Michael Jordan

Basketball Greats: Michael Jordan

When you hear of NBA, the first thing-that pops up into your mind is, the legend Michael Jordan. “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others made it happen…” these are the words of the “Greatest Basketball Player” of all time who had made it happen and shown everyone that intense dedication, hard work and a positive attitude could achieve. He played as the shooting guard and later began to play as small forward when he returned. He was a player who was regarded and respected profoundly his team-mates, officials, opponents and crowd. Who wouldn't love his trademark “fade away” jump shot!

His determination, his athleticism and his never-say-die attitude made him the unstoppable machine that he was. He was one of the best clutch performer and the best defensive and a strong offensive performer in the courts. His leaping ability, long-range shot, slam dunks, earned him the tag of “Air Jordan” or “His Airiness”. He won six NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls, five “Most Valuable Player Awards”, and was twice inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame. He has won ten “All NBA” and nine “All-Defensive” honours to his name and became the first billionaire athlete in the world this year.

This 6 feet 6 inch hulk who was “God disguised as Jordan”, stood against all odds and critics, because for him there were no boundary, no limits and in his own words, “limits, like fear, is often an illusion”. He will be forever known as the Legendary Basketball Athlete in the pages of history.
