Four top prospects for 2018 draft.
NFL fans are quickly falling into two different categories after week 10: there are those who still have a glimmer of playoff hope, and those already looking forward to the offseason. With ten weeks of the regular season on the books now, we take a crack at projecting the 2018 NFL draft’s first four rounds.
Cleveland Browns| Josh Rosen| QB| UCLA
An attempt to trade for A.J. McCarron failed, proving the Browns are not sold on rookie second-rounder Deshon Kizer. If they go for a QB at the top of the draft next year, Rosen then makes the most sense right now.
San Francisco 49ers|Saquon Barkley|RB|Penn State
Jimmy Garoppolo’s trading should free the 49ers to take the best available player, and that is Barkley. Barkley is still an elite prospect who will be more productive when he is not facing stacked boxes with an offensive line that is weak.
New York Giants |Sam Darnold|QB|USC
It seems like the era of Eli Manning could be ending sooner than later, and should the Giants end up with a top-five pick, then they should take the opportunity to swing away on a potential franchise quarterback for his replacement. Darnold’s play this season has been a roller-coaster, but his upside is limitless.
Indianapolis Colts|Bradley Chubb|EDGE|North Carolina State
This team is in desperate need of a difference-maker off the edge, and they cannot wait to see if that guy is Tarell Basham. Chubb is the country's most destructive defender racking up more than 40 tackles for loss and 18 sacks over the past two seasons.
The Cleveland Browns are the only team left without a win, thanks to the San Fransisco 49ers scoring their season’s first victory. This came at the expense of the New York Giants, and they join the three-horse race for the No. 1 overall pick.
