Warrior’s Andrew Bogut Becomes Fifth Australian To Win The NBA Finals

The 2015 NBA finals gave us so many highlights that we could pick up from and it actually comes as no surprise that it was one of the most watched NBA finals ever. The matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors gave us all an interesting final and its only fair that they went up to game 6.

Now that everything seems to have settle down, be it very little, we can now get to focus on the stats of the game and some of the history that were made during the finals.

When it comes to NBA records, this year’s finals broke many of them including the most three points throws, which now belongs to the Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry, who entered the playoffs as the league’s most valuable player. Another record went to Lebron James thanks to his huge start in the playoffs final. In the first two NBA finals matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors Lebron James scoring at least 40 points. This made him join some of the top players in the NBA history to score a total of 80 points and above in the first two games of the NBA finals.

Another history belongs to the Warrior’s Andrew Bogut. Despite him not featuring so much in the finals after games 1, 2 and 3, Bogut became the fifth Australian to ever lift the NBA finals.

Regardless of how the series turned out, there was bound to be a fifth Australian to ever lift the NBA finals as the Cavaliers also have an Australian playing for them in Mathew Dellavedova.
